A former professional football player who played in over 600 plus professional games between the Spanish 3rd division to  the first division of La Liga at the age of 32 where he played successfully for another 6 years until the age of 38 at the time competing against Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, etc, prior to reaching the heights of La Liga Sergio started his time at Barcelona along side of Javi the current manager of Barcelona played together in the Barca youth system for 4 years. Prior to moving onto FERRÁN MARTORELL, RCD ESPANYOL, DEP ALAVÉS,ELCHE CF, UD SALAMANCA, RAYO VALLECANO, GIRONA

All this prior to transitioning into a first Assistant Coach for Getafe CF.

Having had an incredible playing background that experience of competing in La Liga at the very top put him in good stead with what was needed to coach at that level and was brought on to the first team coaching staff at Getafe CG where he got the needed on field coaching experience to set him up as a head coach when he was offered to go back to his former club Elche CF in the 2nd division before heading onto Alicante CF.  of the 2nd Division
